Programme Friday, 5 October: sprint (PM)
Saturday, 6 October: relay
Sunday, 7 October: long distance

There are public races in parallel to JEC 2012 on Saturday and Sunday.

Participants The Junior European Cup is open to national teams for competitors no older than 20 years of age on 31.12.2012. Maximum 4 staff per nation.

Classes Sprint/Long Distance races: W18, M18, W20, M20
Relay: Men/Women (3 runners per relay)

A maximum of 6 runners per national team in each class

For the relay: As many teams of three as can be made up from your entry.

Terrain description Sprint: mix of urban terrain, forest and sport campus
Relay: typical Engadin spruce and larch forest, partly rocky underground
Long: typical Engadin spruce and larch forest

Embargoed areas Sprint: St. Moritz Bad
Relay: existing map “God Surlej”
Long: existing map “S-chanf”

As of now these areas are embargoed for orienteering activities.

Electronic punching system SportIdent system will be used in all JEC 2012 races. SI cards can be hired on request.

Costs The accommodation is not yet determined and, hence, the final costs will be announced in Bulletin 2.

Approximate costs ca. 250 CHF per person.

Entries In order to reserve accommodations, indicative entries are to be receives as soon as possible. Please use the info-email address on the left.

Entries due to be submitted by 31.08.2012 via the portal www.go2ol.ch.

Training Training can be organised on Thursday 04.10.2012. Please use the info-email address on the left.

Maps for your own training are available before and after JEC 2012.

Transports Teams have to organise their own travel to the region and during the event. Nearest Airport is Zurich, train connections every hour from Zurich airport to Engadin. Alternatives: Milan (ITA) or Innsbruck (AUT).
